About me:
I'm Filipe Caldas, and I am based in Brazil. With a background in motion design since 2016, I have had the privilege of collaborating remotely with renowned studios from around the globe, as well as contributing to projects for major entities like Microsoft.
My skills include: design, composition, VFX, vector illustration, video editing, and 2D animation. I have extensive experience with character animation, as well as typography and geometric shape animation.
The software I work with includes: After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, and Blender (basic proficiency).
My Story:
I was born in Salvador in 1997. I was a creative child who loved drawing and playing video games. During my teenagery, I enrolled at a highly respected high school where I also had the opportunity to study construction engineering. It was there that I had my first encounter with technical drawing and other subjects that eventually led me down the path of becoming a digital artist. Needless to say, I didn't pursue a career in construction engineering. Instead, I began studying digital arts through various courses.
Eventually, I found my calling as a motion designer and, job by job, built a career as a freelancer. I am now building my life alongside my fiancée, whom I met at the College of Communication, and I am open to new professional challenges.
